Sunday Potager Ramblings #75 (spring gardening, tomatoes, pretty gardens)

Happy Sunday! We made it through that week with the wintery weather and spring is literally on the way! Only 5 more days till spring and the weather is going to be wonderful.

A person kneeling in a garden, planting flowers among autumn leaves and plants, with a small bowl nearby.
It was so dry last fall! We had rain for most of the summer and then none for weeks and weeks afterwards!

I can hardly wait to see the crocus and other pathway bulbs that hubby planted for me last year (I supervised with my brand new hips ; ) and the perennial pink primulas I have growing in the back corner.

Tips for Better Tomatoes | Ripe Tomato Revolution – I’m starting with this one as it is a really, really great read. If you are passionate about growing tomatoes, as I am, you will enjoy this read and the takeaways. The only thing I disagree with is the last point – I will leave those babies on the vine as long as I possibly can, lol.

It has been preserved for edgings, narrow flower beds, rock gardens and small bouquets. A mix of white, red and soft purple shades.

New Gardening Book Recommendation: Garden Wonderland by Leslie Bennett and Julie Chai – A stunning garden. You can have it all, food crops and flower beds.

How to Save your Garden After Weeks of Heavy Rainfall

Three decorated mini bundt cakes with pink icing and colorful candy eggs, surrounded by pink flowers and a lemon slice.
Sliced and whole pickled purple eggs on white plates with a striped design, with a green checkered tablecloth in the background.

Design hacks for dog owners: practical advice for having a lovely interior with a canine in tow – I know I said I wasn’t doing homey bits any longer, but this read with photos about dogs in the house is fun. Many of us gardeners have dogs, like Monty Don, so why not include them this week, eh?
