Sunday Potager Ramblings #47 (Autumnal Ideas)

Okay, it has happened. I have succumbed to the lure of fall decorating. The weather is definitely feeling pretty autumnal out there.

Although we are having a bit of a (lovely) late summer heatwave, it cools off awfully fast in the evening.

We (the mister and I) take our morning cuppa out on the back patio while the dogs burn off energy, enjoying the teeny bit of chill in the air. With the daytime temps in the 30’s °C (high 80’s°F), the pups spend the the hottest hours indoors. Mornings and evenings are spent outdoors as they play and loll around on the (so quickly going brown) grass. Isn’t amazing how fast the grass can go from lush and green to brown and crispy?

Anyway… all this to say that there is a lot of fall/autumn ideas in today’s post. I am finally ready to begin taking down summer and preparing for fall….

Garden Ideas

A row of gardening forks and shovels resting against a wooden fence, next to a decorative sign that reads 'Live Life in Full Bloom'. The area features pebbles and dry leaves, suggesting an autumn setting.

Last year’s spooky porch…

Quite honestly, I am stoked to get this year’s spooky Hallowe’en porch happening. I know, I know, it is awfully early… but to me, fall and Hallowe’en kinda go hand in hand. Some of these cosy patio ideas (below) would look lovely with a bit of spooky mixed in ; )

A cozy outdoor seating area featuring a grey woven armchair draped with a mustard-colored blanket, a light grey cushion, and a table with a plate of croissants and a warm drink, surrounded by soft glowing fairy lights.
