Sunday Potager Ramblings #46 (Seed Saving & Ripening Tomatoes)

Well, hi there! Happy Sunday. Grab a cuppa and browse through these great reads and photos with me.

Although the evenings and mornings feel like fall, the prairies are finally getting some summer weather. Took long enough, eh? Highs around 30°C (mid 80’s F) and lots of sunshine. Perfect timing to ripen off our tomatoes… that we have loads of but have been slow to ripen in all the rain.

I just walk around enjoying the garden all day long. Watching the bees buzzing in the flowers. Morning time is especially buzzy around here.

A vibrant garden scene featuring a variety of colorful flowers in bloom, including petunias, sunflowers, and snapdragons, with a quaint white shed in the background.

The flowers in my garden are all a bit crazy, a bit wild in late summer. They could use some deadheading, some thinning out, but I am just letting them go. No more fussing, time to let them set seeds so that I can harvest free seeds for next year.

How does your garden grow? Are you saving seeds this year? I am all excited for it. We have had such a great garden this year… looking forward to collecting dahlia seeds, zinnias, cosmos, marigolds, calendula, snapdragons, and anything else that I can ; )

Anyway… I hope that all is well with you all, that your gardens are bringing you so much joy right now. Here are this week’s great links, reads, and photos…
