Sunday Potager Ramblings #45 (Finally Sunny Weather)

We have a sunny, warm day! They have been far and few between so I’m pretty stoked to be able to spend the day in the sun. Think it is a great day to wash windows and scrub down the deck a bit.

I have garlic ordered from the sale below, plus a local farmer. My garlic is still in the ground as we have had so much rain that they have not yet finished up. I still have at least 5 green leaves on them, waiting till just 3 or 4.

I have also ordered my spring flowering bulbs. Ordered a whole bunch of these guys for the front yard and just a few bags of tulips this year. Will keep adding a bit more each year to add to my early season colour in the garden beds.

The sand garden. I love this idea. Wish I had thought of it for part of my front yard at the potager. I mean, I rarely watered it anyway, I am that sort, hahaha, once it was established. If you have an area that is hot and dry, hard to water, this might be the answer for you. Or not necessarily even hard to water, maybe just to save on water.

Easy sourdough English muffins. Yes, back to sharing sourdough recipes with you again as I have a new starter on the go. I have not yet baked with it, but it is ready. This is the ‘recipe’ I used. I halved the flour though.
