Indoor/Outdoor Machine Washable Rugs

I am on the lookout for a new rug for both my outdoor seating area on the deck, and also indoors, in the sitting room. As I was chatting with my daughter the other day, she also said she is on the lookout for some great outdoor rugs to liven up the deck and also to keep her south facing deck from being a foot scorcher.

There just happen to be a lot of sales on right now, great prices, so thought I would share.

A floral patterned rug on wooden flooring, placed in a modern living room with a dark green sofa and a wooden side table.
Boho floral machine washable, non skid area rug. This is so pretty!

I buy the machine washable rugs for everywhere, indoors and out.

With a large dog that shed and drool and bring in messes from outdoors on their paws, plus grandchildren who spill and track in dirt, machine washable is the only way for me to go.

Throw them in the machine once a week, once a month, once a season. Whatever works for your family.

All of the suggestions in this post are under $100. Some are under $50!

This rug (above) comes in these three colours and in three different sizes. I love the darker one for the sitting room but that teal one would look lovely on my patio….

This rug above is one of my current favourites. Thinking that green would be nice outside and the blue and red in my sitting room. It also comes in grey and a few other colours, and several sizes, of course. I tend to look at the 5×7’s as they fit my front load washer the best.

A cozy living room featuring a patterned rug, a neutral sofa, wooden chairs, and a stone fireplace with decorative shelves.

This brown one would be amazing outside. Neutral to fit with most settings and hides the dirt ; )

If you prefer a more traditional type of outdoor rug, these are affordable and stylish options.

Or maybe you prefer something a little bit fanciful? Like these rugs above. One is playful while the other is very bougie. I can just imagine that dark blue 3D one in the evening, in the glow of soft patio lighting. Stunner. I am not able to keep that clean enough with grandkids and a St Bernard, sadly.

Or maybe one of these rug links will take you to your favourites in the other ideas.

It does not cost you any extra to purchase through my link than if you went to that item through your own search. Many thanks for your support, I sure do appreciate it.

A green vintage watering can repurposed as a planter, filled with vibrant pink flowers and lush greenery, set on a wooden table.
The new rug and cushions match the striped blue umbrella that we have. We found this one (we actually have two of them) at Home Depot last year, but this one is similar. It is actually what I was looking for when I bought these two.

I ended up buying this outdoor rug and it came with a $10 off coupon! Such a great deal! It goes with these dark blue chair cushions that I just bought, too.

I went with this indoor rug… eek. It is very bright. I wanted something lively and lighter for summer, and the price is right. If it ends up being too much for me to handle, I’ll put it into the grandkids’ room.

As I write this it is absolutely pouring cats and dogs outside. I hope the heat is coming soon. Rain followed by sunshine and warmth makes everything pop!
